Re: Atari 520 STFM Floppy Disk Drive constantly spins - fixable?

Nope. No drive will work as you have described, partially because they are designed not to operate without a disk inserted. Only if there is a fault somewhere could this possibly happen. My STfm had the single sided drive with the long button, my STm had an external double sided floppy with long but...

Re: Atari 520 STFM Floppy Disk Drive constantly spins - fixable?

Regular epson drive as fitted in like 80% of the machines I have seen. That's not the typical STFM drive I've seen. Either you in Europe got more modern drives, or you are including STE machines. The drives I've seen were mostly belt driven with a much more rudimentary board. The one you show it is...

Not sure really, wasn't planning on selling it, though that may well change soon, depending on how the bills work out over the next month or two

Re: For sale: Boxed Lynx Mk 1

Hi,

Sorry but this was sold. I do have a Mk 2 but it has a carry case, quite a few games but no box. Not sure if I'm selling just yet though.

Re: WANTED - Atari TT 030

I'm going to be selling mine soon, it's UK spec but has a replacement hard drive which is way larger than the stock 20MB one (2GB) and a graphics card installed (Not sure which but you can get TT high res on a VGA monitor). My Mega STE went to the USA (Same size and weight) though the cost of postag...

Re: Falcon and Cubase Audio

I used the Falcon with Cubase Audio up until a few years ago, nwo the Falcon is in storage and the CAF disks and dongle are also stored away. I don't have the room for a full studio anymore and can devote little time to maintaining one. On the odd occasions when I do get back playing, I have Reason ...

Re: WTB Cubase dongle

I've a Cubase 3.x dongle that I no longer use, also have the floppies. PM me an offer, I know they are currently going for silly money on the likes of eBay at times, and Barrie at Keychange still sells them when he gets stock. Like I said though, I've got one I don't need.

Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Well after Friday's mess and all the other crud going on I've had to divide time and money I don't have between a number of things that are finally pushing me to dispose of the lot. The studio had to go a while ago, as did the Mega ST's, now it's a process of disposing of what is left, in part beca...

For sale: Atari ST Book laptop

Hi all, due to things never running smooth in life, I'm having to dispose of a lot of kit from my collection(s) over the years. On the Atari side, most of my equipemtn must now go. Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Actually my main reason for logging in is to say the site is back up and running, but due to pressures my end of various types, I cannot keep it going long term and cannot give the site teh time and attention it needs. I initially took it on after the original owner took it offline and vanished and ...

Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Have to say it was getting annoying, sending the same information time and time again, even my host was getting frustrated with the registrar (We had a little 'off the support page' conversation about it). Still, should all be there for the foreseeable future now. Thank you for the support :) All I ...

Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Grrr...

Registrar unsuspended the domain (Yay!), then suspended it again because the details had changed (The details they were requiring me to supply in the first place!).

Details sent (Again!), so hopefully this will fix it all once and for all

Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Well it turned out to be a dispute over the domain name. Provided all the information they needed (Several times with my host also stuck in the middle of it all), finally got it all back online yesterday and... It's gone again today. Here I go again... May just register a new domain as the site is m...

What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Update: Atarimusic.net is offline. I was made aware of an issue, went to the site and found it online and working. Logged on to reply to a thread, everything normal until I hit submit, then the site vanished. Unable to get into support section so suspect it's a server issue at the site hosts data ce...

Right, found the issue... But not what's causing it though I have got the Cubase page working again under downloads...

Now I have the workaround, I'll get the rest of the downloads up and running over the weekend.

Re: What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Yeah but it'll be to joomla 3.3 which needs a new player which requires buying a complete new version. Would not be so bad but downgrading php made no difference so the database may well be screwed as everything else works

What´s happening with www.atarimusic.net?

Hi, sorry for the absence and lack of communication. Regarding the downloads, the host Sudan update earlier in the year which broke pretty much everything and I've been in an argument with them about who's responsibility it is since I was aware of the downloads breaking. Re: Atari 260 ST?

I confirm that the 260 St has 512K, I had one of it. thus I know what I say. Dice that Tos was put in Rom, there was no more difference between the 520 and the 260. Very few ST's escaped the factory with 256K RAM, what happened was that the price of DRAM dropped so Atari could ship 512K for around ...

There is no 2.5 on the FTP site so may have been a pre-release of version 3.

The cache on the mega ste can cause issue, though the processor speed itself is often fine. I've noticed Avalon can behave strange on the mega ste if cache is on

Re: ST-BOOK ROM dump?

True, but the explanation I had when asking about stock was there were no case/mechanical or electrical component spares as no repair stockpile had been built up for warranty repairs. As for the keyboard layout, is that not part of TOS? I'm sure the German TT keyboard works with English characters i...

Re: Mega STE Noob

Myy Mega STE has grown temperamental with age and occasionally will not see the hard drive. I suspect it is the SCSI adapter that works loose as re-seating everything generally works.
