Re: 68080 Apollo Core

There is an MMU in 68080 but no compatibility with other 68K and don't know if we could have help to use it in open source software and access to documentation and explanation. The Vampire project is currently of very little interest to me for two reasons: 1. It does not have a 68k compatible MMU, s...

Re: 68080 Apollo Core

Apollo core is far faster than firebee for near for all, if you use only register as frequency is higher coldfire will run faster but no software work like this! Nobody can explain why memory is so slow on firebee. the Vampire V4 stand alone card is basically aimed to replace Falcon + CT60, and be f...

Re: Using gcc, basic questions

Thanks Mikro for your work and explanation, looks work nice under Aranym, first time I was able to compil a source file without removing optimisation option to not failed! (just a high list of opengl call so probably nothing to optimize but was a mess to compil the full project!). Ok not fast but it...

Re: Replacement for VISION's color icon routines

Hello Jean, MyAES do it's own detection and if I add it in kernel it's only to reduce size before it used screen.ldg. Detection is based as you on write line of different color, hope you not look directly in memory but copy from screen to offscreen buffer you control? This way is a bit old style it ...

Re: Replacement for VISION's color icon routines

What i don't understand: you say, when using the xrsrc routines, it works with MinT/MyAES, but not with Mint/XaAES. But those use only VDI calls, the AES is not involved at all. How do you currently load the resource? Yes I agree with you, very strange! It would be nice to see if under XaAES withou...

Re: Replacement for VISION's color icon routines

Hi all, I would like to replace existing color icon management routines for vision (in tools/xrsrc.c) because they are very old, very fuzzy and don't work for radeon card in 32 bit modes (Kroll knows that...). My needs are: Load icons from interface resource file Pick best choice for current resolu...

Re: Magic mac open sourced

MyAES use same format as Magic (I copy it!), you can generate keyboard with charview create by Roland Sevin, Mint already has the ability to load keyboard tables, i don't quite understand why the AES has to do the same again??? A brief check reveals that the tables are not compatible to MiNT. Even ...

Re: Memory protection in Mint

The most common cause for problems related to memory protection is applications using the AV-protocol. This protocol does not pass data, but pointers to data. If this data is located in private memory the recipient of the data will be violating memory protection and subsequently killed. One example...
