Re: Hatari MIDI support

It's possible that it had regressed at some point. It had worked fine with all the games I tested (Midimaze for networking, Leisure Suit Larry & Empire for music output) and many free MIDI program's from Tim's MIDI world (midimouse was my favorite) and Sequencer One I had gotten from a ST Format...

Re: MiST wiki EmuTOS image version update?

I see that the above wiki page is modifiable by any GitHub user. Eero, can you please update that page with more recent and accurate information about EmuTOS, if MiST people are OK for that? I'll get GitHub account at some point when I want to put something there myself, but currently I don't have ...

Re: Hatari MIDI support

MIDI output (Linux) support was added to Hatari v0.45 (2003), and MIDI input support to Hatari v1.2 (2009), from which point MIDI music output has worked pretty well (= was tested more extensively) e.g. in games. There were additional fixes for different Cubase versions in Hatari v1.7 & v1.9, an...

Re: Diamond Edge now GPL

There were several serious bugs in Diamond Edge v2.04 (the source version I received). To my knowledge, they are all now fixed, and have been for a long while. If you read the CHANGES.TXT file (or the comments at the start of each module), you should see them referenced. I don't see CHANGES.TXT eit...

Re: MiST wiki EmuTOS image version update?

I fixed the EmuTOS problem (it was some Amiga driven change in the CPU which caused the trouble). And i also removed the local EmuTOS copy from the repository and instead now link to the EmuTOS ZIP at Sourceforge. This: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/GettingStarted Still says "(...

Re: [Help] for software... and decompress .ST floppy

Hatari has a hmsa tool that should be able to access those files, but i'm not sure wether there is a precompiled version version for windows available. Hatari "hmsa" tool just converts between MSA <-> ST image formats and creates empty images, it doesn't extract their contents. There's al...

Re: [Help] for software... and decompress .ST floppy

If the disk formats are DOS compatible, at least on Linux you can use MTools to copy their content out: mkdir destination mcopy -i DISK.ST -spmv '::*' destination/ (verbose, recursive copy that preserves file attributes & creation times. Use '*' instead of '*.*' to get all files.)

Re: Looking for CAF206 startup info(mint)

TOS doesn't check what mode flags application uses. EmuTOS was changed, maybe few years ago, to relax its own checks for compatibility with some apps which use broken modes (e.g. Wolf3D).

Re: Future source-code patches for TOS 2.06/3.06

It's fascinating that we now can reproduce original ROMs for ST, STE and TT, but I think due to unsolved licence of TOS the best way would be to continue with EmuTOS, to make it capable of doing everything what original TOS can do on the related machine. In my mind at least the following things are...

Re: Minimal multitask configuration for Hatari

Well, it's not just double clicks, all input from host naturally appears slower on the fast-forwarded emulation. With double click you would just have been able to check the issue easier (by comparing manual double-click and the middle-button emulation for it).

Re: Minimal multitask configuration for Hatari

In general, "fast forward" (AltGr-X) shouldn't affect anything in emulated environment, it should appear faster only to host (as it skips VBL waits). However, there's one thing where that does change things, which is that emulation running faster means that user input arrives at different ...

but my code (in Hatari) trigger a line-F exception on the pmove to tc so my guess is thatI'm doing something wrong :) Note that if you enable enable MMU emulation in Hatari, Hatari's (WinUAE) CPU emulation changes to less accurate mode, which doesn't emulate caches effect on how many cycles things ...

Anyway, funny paint is rarely able to render the values of an image that it has converted into a FUN file. Or it bug with the emulators ...
