Great, this version seems to work fine (died on a missile... :-))!

Re: Original ST TOS.

Rescued people not running to the ship, and missiles not flying (even on ST) is a bit more serious problem for Oids playing that the TT-specific intro screen problem, although one would notice that first. :-)

Re: Hatari 2.0.0 & MacOS Sierra 10.12.4 crash problem

Now that you have it working, you will want to search on Google for actual Atari ROMs. The included EmuTOS is good, but you'll have the best compatibility with the original Atari ROMs. There's a newer and somewhat more compatible EmuTOS version available: https://sourceforge.net/projects/emutos/fil...

Re: Hatari 2.0.0 & MacOS Sierra 10.12.4 crash problem

Seems like NULL pointer access called by qsort() callback. That's only called in scandir() function. According to your backtrace, that's in Hatari fallback version of that, which seems weird because I would have expected OSX to provide scandir() in system libraries i.e. your build may be configured ...

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.8

For ARM or x86, it would be much more complicated. Several EmuTOS parts require a Big Endian CPU. Many parts (if not all) written in C require that the "int" type is 16-bit wide, I'm not sure that GCC can support that on those processors. And of course, all the assembler sources would hav...

Re: EmuTOS 0.9.8

MiST FPGA simulation started from ST, and moved from there to other 80's computers. EmuTOS OS started from ST and moved from there to Amiga, so far... I wonder whether EmuTOS will eventually cover a larger number of the m68k machines simulated by MiST (MachinTos, Sinclair QL)? :-) (Not really being ...

Re: Atari optical mouse

What makes you think that modern PC mice are ergonomic? ;) I have been through my share of mice the last decade, in search of something that does not make my forearms and wrists ache. The ST mouse is not any worse than the majority of "modern" mice. Have you used wrist rest? I've found th...

Re: GEMDOS Drive steals letter to IDE

Which drive Hatari's GEMDOS HD emulation uses, depends on what Hatari options one uses. There are few different methods for specifying which drive GEMDOS HD uses, it uses C: only by default. One can also set an option with which GEMDOS HD skips existing HD image partitions, but it's possible that Ha...

Re: Pack-Mania

I'm not insisting on anything, I just mentioned it in case it was supposed to work and you'd want to fix it if it won't. :-)

It already works with 192k EmuTOS, which is the EmuTOS version intended for old ST games, that's enough for me.

Tested few of the games with EmuTOS. Worked fine with *192k* v0.9.7 and v0.9.8-RC2, saw crashes (in Major Motion) with v0.9.7+git 512k version.

Re: VanillaMiNT has finally been updated

There seems to be something very weird happening with mint.cnf parsing. Depending on how much comment or echo lines there are after INIT= line, MiNT either parses, or doesn't parse the INIT line. Any idea why I get CNF file problems only with TT emulation (= ACSI), not with Falcon (=IDE)? This prob...

There are many different Doom WADs, and BadMood is very particular which one you need to use. It's all documented in BadMood readme files.

Btw. It's possible that HD Driver hadn't crashed for you. It's probing is for some reason *very* slow with Hatari. Did you wait at least 10 minutes?

Re: VanillaMiNT has finally been updated

MiNT has fun when loading CNF files by passing odd (non-even) buffers to the disk API. Even if this questionable, we are going to fix EmuTOS to support that on plain 68000. Currently, the EmuTOS IDE driver crashes with illegal address in such case. Any idea why I get CNF file problems only with TT ...

On hatari 2.0, configured as falcon with TOS 4.04 I am trying to create an hard-drive image used as an IDE drive. Re: VanillaMiNT has finally been updated

Neither EmuTOS nor Hatari supports TT SCC. EmuTOS supports it. I think this is MiNT driver bug, it doesn't handle SCC (non-)existence properly If you don't have SCC, then just go to \mint\1-19-cur and remove scc.xdd. Ah right, I should have though that. After that Hatari TT emulation + EmuTOS conti...

I tried this in Hatari with latest EmuTOS snapshot (as EmuTOS works without HD driver), but I'm running into problems: On TT emulation: * If I either enable MMU, or 32-bit addressing & TT-RAM, I get bus error & EmuTOS panic after "realloc_region: reg is NULL" * If I don't enable MM...

You can also use EmuTOS that is a free compatible TOS. Many games don't run with EmuTOS, but according to Eero seems this one does. Most games actually do run fine with (latest) EmuTOS, especially if you select EmuTOS version intended for given machine version. Latest EmuTOS version for ST is here:...

Re: Minimal multitask configuration for Hatari

every PC should be able to emulate a 32Mhz Atari without it. I guess you haven't tested any Falcon stuff. My 3G Hz Intel i3 isn't fast enough to emulate Falcon (=16MHz CPU + 32Mhz DSP) at acceptable speed with more DSP intensive games & demos when using Hatari's (default & more accurate) Wi...
