Hey gang, i am in need of someone who can open up the source flash060.prg and explain the Way the program is being executed. Basically single blocking the program and explain the communication between Falcon and CT60 Flash ram. I am willing to compensate for your time thanks!

I don't think the clockpatch (or lack of) would cause something like this. Clock patches fixes DMA issues, there is no DMA involved here.[/quote]

Re: Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

Well the remote debugging of this kind is very difficult, but have you checked all the connectivity between Falcon motherboard and CT60? That is where I would start. Over the age, all the pinheaders become oxidated. Moreover, if they were mechanically stressed, solder joints develop hair cracks (co...

Re: Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

For my 2 Falcons 1. NTSC model - no clock patch. This Falcon I had since 1995 and I got it from Dallas. Everything seems to work fine :D 2. PAL model - yes there is a clock patch - already put in by previous owner. No sure what clockpatch is that but everything seems to work fine too. I emailed rod...

Re: Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

When I got my ct60 I was using exxos clock patch, but I was getting scsi corruption and various issues. I tried the termination resistor but then my falcon wouldn't turn on at all. In the end I downloaded the Phantom clock patch schematic from mikros website and made that, my falcon has run beautif...

Re: Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

If your clock patch was there and it worked previously, I don't think it is the clock patch. I bought this CT60 pre-loaded or in other words it was already flashed abe/sdr and the other files *.hex and *.bin files so i really never messed with reflashing it was pretty much plug and play. From what ...

Re: Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

First I would make sure your CT60 isn't damaged by trying it out in a different Falcon. Messing with clock patches shouldn't be your first step. But yes, I have seen and had all sorts of clock patches with CT60s, there isn't a definite answer whether you should or shouldn't replace the one you have...

I can't say from the top of my head. Check schematics and servicemanual on https://www.dev-docs.org/docs/ Ugh i have done about everything, and still i get that “CT60 Not found” message upon flashing in 030 mode. I read on. Rodolphe’s webpage we are suppose to remove the clock patch and install a 4...

Falcon Pal mobo and clock Patch owners

Hi guys anyone here has a clock patch installed on their PAL Falcon’s with a CT60? I was reading on Rodolphes website that the clock patch must be removed and a 47ohm termination resistor should be soldered in place. Can anyone confirm this, i am trying to troubleshoot my ct60 as i have no access to...

Thanks for your answer, question to you, do you know where the /BG signal on expansion is coming from!? I asume MPU pin 16 is this correct?

Re: CT60e does not boot in 060-mode

I got a CPU for my CT60e today, but unfortunately it will not boot in 060-mode. The Videl just outputs a black image and some weird sync signals, and there's no other sign of life either. Everything works normally in 030-mode. So far I've tried the following without success: * Two different RAM mod...

Re: CT60 Black (out of range) screen

It's the only reference to flashing using 030 mode. Not sure relevent to only abe or not. I did all what was explained to do on rodolphes tutorial site and even loaded up NVDI 5.0 and still The Flash tool is not reconizing the CT60. Jury mentioned using other versions of Flash, but where do i find ...

Re: Dead TT

What device did you use to check the clock? Also i am a owner of a TT also and let me tell you it is a wonderful machine but it is a headache, i think it could have been engineered better due to the socketed ICs. Those socketed Ics cause major problems as the machine ages. Try it pressing down firml...

now i am unable to recover from it because in 030 mode it will not detect 060 mode therefore i am unable to recover from the bad flash. Have you run NVDI when using flash060 in 030 mode? Not sure if that 10K resistor is needed or not. look at http://powerphenix.com/ct60/english/update.htm Hmmm no i...

Re: CT60 Black (out of range) screen

Hi, as both PicoPSU and CT60 power connectors are very tight, perhaps you caused mechanical damage on CT60 board (power connector, SDRAM slot, peripheral components around the power connector) when plugging PicoPSU. Check carefully solder points, capacitors; unplug/reseat SDRAM. Is the CT60 still f...

Re: CT60 Black (out of range) screen

Ouch... first thing I would have thought, before you flashed, was that maybe the Pico wasn't providing enough power for the hdd. Then if that were the case, then that might explain the corrupted flash and why it happened. Did you not try plugging your ATX PSU in to see if the HDD started working ag...
