Re: Not running on my STFM

Couple of things to look at: 1. What version of TOS do you have in the STFM? TOS 1.04 is the best version to use when you have mass storage devices. 2. Have you tried a warm reset? It takes a bit of time for the Pi to boot its OS completely and you may just find your ST’s cold boot completes just a ...

Re: WANTED: PC-Emulators for ST/MEGA ST

I’m currently selling off a load of stuff and i’m pretty certain I still have my AT-Once 386.

Keep your eye on my eBay activity (darren_1978) over the coming weeks, I’ll see if I can get it up for auction sooner rather than later.

Is the scsi2sd installed internally? How have you set up the scsi2sd interface (parity, ID, termination etc), also do you have the internal terminating resistor packs installed (on the main board right near the external scsi port)? 2 bombs is an address error, so I’m inclined to think this is a scsi...

For Sale: Lots of stuff

The time has come for me to have a huge clear out due to some changes in my life. I'll be keeping a few special items for myself, but the bulk of my collection has to go. To make things fair, I have listed everything on eBay with 99p start price and no reserve. Here's the list: Atari RoboKit https:/...

Yeah, that’s normal. My ST I had back in the day did this. Probably some bleed from a clock. More a design issue than a fault.

Before whipping out the multimeter, it’s probably worth re-flowing the solder on the simm socket(S). Cold solder joints through mechanical stress of inserting/removing Simms will be the most likely cause of failure.

That should be fixed now. Only 3 years late!

I've not gone through all the forums to check they are configured to use the Active Topics page, so if anyone notices other forums where it's not working, please let me know and I'll get around to it in the next 3 years ;-)

as so many have done on the atari 800 and XL, getting Multiple colors, as far as possibility, could the ZX spectrum compete? First, I suggest downloading CAFFIX.PRG and placing that in your Auto folder (although I can’t seem to find a direct download right now) Failing that, contact Uwe Siemet (http://hddriver.seimet.de/en/contact.html) to get a copy ofhddriver 7.93 - this is the last version of hddriver that plays nicely...

Re: The FPGA and non-Atari cores deserve the cover of this forum?

I can see the argument here. For those who may not know the full history, when MiST was first developed, it was purely designed with the intention of being an Atari ST implemented in FPGA. So it naturally found its home here on AF under the 'clones' section. Of course, more and more cores were devel...

There have been an influx of posts on the Off-topic forums lately. That is why we have them. I can’t police people’s ratio of on-topic vs off-topic forum use, but also admit I find it frustrating to see the non-Atari forum being used so heavily for random purile posts. It’s generating noise on the R...

Re: STE power supply problem / switches on and off constantly

Disconnect the PSU from the board and check the 5V line (preferably on an oscilloscope if you have one) to see if it’s constant. If OK, then it might be worth replacing the 4700uf cap on the board.
