Re: Electronic Arts disk numbering for their European releases

Are the game ID numbers the same across all platforms? If so, that may account for the gaps given people are only searching ST archives?

Re: Sick M-STE HELP NEEDED !!! !!!! !!!!

Don't forget TOS 2.05 and TOS 2.06 both go through a system / memory test which takes a long time. The difference is with TOS 2.05 there is nothing shown on the display so it can appear like the system is doing nothing. Try pressing space bar (this skips the test) and see if it boots. A white screen...

@Leech: For now, the machine is reserved. If that sale falls through, then I'm happy to pick up this conversation with you.

@Trixster: (as above). However, I will not be splitting this at all.

Re: HELP: Get CAB going in MagiC using the NetUSBee

Can you try putting

Code: Select all

http://92.222.181.53
In CAB and see if Atari-Forum loads up?

If this works, your issue lies with name server (dns) configuration on your Atari.

Re: USB HxCF Atari TT Freezes at HxC manager

Same version of TOS in both TTs? Check the floppy ribbon cable in the one that isn't working for any suspicious kinks or other damage. If you have a diagnostic cart, try running the floppy tests with that. Give any socketed chip a push to make sure they are seated. At least we know it should work wi...

Re: USB HxCF Atari TT Freezes at HxC manager

Just to confirm, are your refering to the DIP switches, in the lower right corner of the TT ? Yes - I've not been in there for some time so thought they were jumpers. But yes E0-E7 in TOS aligns to D1-D7 on the switch array there. From what I recall, these 8 bits are part of the cookie jar in TOS a...

Re: USB HxCF Atari TT Freezes at HxC manager

Keep the HxC in standard Atari mode (AtariHD is something different). Then try removing the E6 jumper to set the floppy type setting in TT's TOS to double density.the jumper is under the hard drive bay towards the front of the machine IIRC.

Some could argue this is what allows the Spectrum Next to retain some of the spirit of the original machine.

Re: Eiffel adaptor installation help

Sorry, no idea. It's not my board so I'm not sure what those pins are for. Am I losing my mind? I could have sworn I bought an Eiffel board made by you at some point? While this doesn't look exactly like one of yours, I'm sure it has these headers on it as I have one of them connected to a 9pin dsu...

Re: Eiffel adaptor installation help

Those headers are for the two 9-pin joystick connectors that you lose when removing the original Atari keyboard.

Due to a bit of a design flaw, the pins don't directly map 1-1 if you attempt to use a ribbon connector with an IDC 9-pin dsub. PM AlanH - he may be able to help you.

Pop the keyboard open and give the controller chip a push (pretty sure they tend to be socketed on the mega keyboards)

Re: REplacement power supplies for 400... impossible to source?

I think your best bet is to get a suitably rated 9v DC linear power supply (not switch mode) and replace the rectifier with a pair of jumper wires.
