Re: Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boys

They still have my disks, and my ST, and my Amiga, but I haven't seen them for 10 years (the disks, not my parents!). One day if I have time I'll dig out the ST and see if they still work...

Re: Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boys

@AtariZoll I'm using Steem 3.2 also but the CJC preview won't go past the intro screen...I can't really remember much about the preview except it was a very early demo. The Amiga version had a lot of new stuff compared to the ST version, which is why we ceased development on it (even though it was f...

Help ID this font...

I'd love to use this font in my project but I can't ID the artist:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/cumbrowsk ... 1369252367

Does anyone know who the artist is? The guy who owns this account on Flickr doesn't seem to be the artist as he has loads of ST/Amiga fonts in his account.

Re: [REQ] Large Knight Hawks font

Unfortunately even the online generator is too blocky and pixely, surely there must be a "big scroll" type demo using this font that I can rip :-)

Thanks for the suggestion, I downloaded the Truetype font from cooltext and created a logo in GIMP but the font is so small it gets pixelated and blocky when the height is over 30 pixels or so...

[REQ] Large Knight Hawks font

Hi guys I'm looking for a large version of the famous Knight Hawks font (see http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=14564), I've searched all over the place (google images, font databases, etc) but can only find the small 32x32 version, and I need 128x128 (or bigger). Has anyone got a large version of ...

I'm looking for a couple of music tracks from famous ST demos but I can't find them anywhere, I've tried Fading Twilight and sndh.atari.org but they aren't there, if anyone can help it would be great. The tracks I'm looking for are: 1) DNA scroller in TCB's Cuddly Demo (I also used it on my "Di...

Re: Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boy

It's 2 inches thick! Anyway, I don't think the ST version was very good from what I remember, technically it wasn't bad with sync scrolling and whatever that effect was called when you change the background colour on every scanline to create a gradient for the sky...but it only scrolled horizontally...

Re: Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boy

Yes, the Amiga version is better, but I wasn't looking at my old game for inspiration, I just wanted to look at some old demos and I remembered I hadn't seen the ST version of CJC for a long time and then I couldn't get it to work!!! Very annoying...I might have to dig out my real ST and see if it s...

Re: Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boy

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll give Hatari a try. I've tried various TOS but always get the same result. Yes nostalgia has hit me recently and I've been watching all the old classics like the Cuddly Demos etc, actually I'm working some Android game projects and thought I'd use some old ST demos as i...

Cool J Charlie preview in Dreamzone demo by The Wild Boys

Dreamzone by TWB had a preview of our game "Cool J Charlie", unfortunately I can't get it to work under STeem or SainT - the megademo itself works, just the game preview screen doesn't. I know there's a way becase there's a screenshot on the URL below, presumably taken from an emulator but...

ST demo music required for Android game

Unfortunately I don't have any the mods our group's musician made in the early 90s which I wanted to use for my Android game, so I'm looking for help obtaining demo mods I can legally use. If you're a musician or have access to mods (ST, Falcon or, dare I say it, Amiga) with a licence attribution al...

The main menu of our Dreamzone demo used Sonic graphics...but not Sonic himself, we used Cool J Charlie for the character you control, he's much cooler.

I recently downloaded Enchanted Lands (on a Dbug menu) and Weird Dreams (on an Automation menu), can't get either to work on Steem 3.2.

Has anyone had success running these two games on any emulator?
