Re: Hatari on tablet device

@Catmando re the UI on the original Hatari: I have always found the mouse capture a bit weird.. don't know how it could be improved; hard to describe but I often run out of room depending where the mouse was relevant to the window. Think Steem had a way better UI, but Hatari wins in every other feat...

Re: Hatari on tablet device

Just installed Hataroid on my S3 - great work squall! (STe support on Android at last!) Have bought Stoid and found it lacking, although the user interface is more polished and it grates to pay for a freeware emulator port when the developer obviously doesn't care about keeping it updated. Hataroid ...

Re: Galaxian

You sometimes nowadays forget how difficult it was getting hold of stuff in those days.. cover disks or modem and trying to get into a bulletin board late at night... Or of course waiting for a batch of disks in the post... <sigh> Slower but happier times I think :)

Re: Galaxian

Anyone remember Galaxian by Sinister Developments?
Felt (at the time) that was the most accurate copy..
But with the ability to play original rom now, that feeling could change..!

Amazing.. just stumbled onto this. STe was so under utilised :(
Just read whole thread; can't believe people have the ability now to disassemble old games and add to them.
Well done Zamuel_A !

Re: Dyna Blaster VS Dynabusters VS +

Hehe.. they have to be nowadays..! Out of interest, this lunchtime I started trying to assembling the bombaman source.. It appears the format is slightly different - devpac hadn't needed ';' in front of comments, etc. Also it complained about 'no current section defined'.. so I guess I need to spend...

Re: Dyna Blaster VS Dynabusters VS +

Thanks.. will look at vasm.. if it works under linux I'll be even happier as that's my day to day environment I work in - a vi(m) and makefile fan! Ooh.. I did have something running - very very basic graphics and hardware scrolling.. This uses the same basic tile engine: http://lostsite.altervista....

Re: Dyna Blaster VS Dynabusters VS +

Dynabusters+ was what prompted me to write Bombaman STe.. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/kevcallahan/bombaman/ATARI_STe_%20BOMBAMAN_%201_0.htm I was a bit frustrated by the small characters in dynabusters+, but it was a real blast with all the cool samples :) ! Re: Steem for Android OS?

My impression was that hatari was more accurate - the sound system is better emulated anyway.
Would love to see hatari inherit Steem's user interface though (or Steem inherit the best bits of hatari),

Re: Hatari build for Wii!

Ran it with an STe only game and the old one worked.. haven't tried the gamepad supported one yet, but I guess there's no reason why it wouldn't work at least as good as the old one... I haven't got a USB keyboard at home to use though, so I'll be interested to hear how others get on with it.. if it...

Re: Hatari build for Wii!

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but couldn't find mention of this: "Hatari Wii with pad support" In this version, I have updated the emulator with Hatari v1.3.1, and just added basic pad support(Wiimote and Gamecube pad). You just have to open the menu(by typing F12 on keyboard) and c...

Hi, I have memories of a platform game on the ST that involved a little (fat) guy running round a factory, trying to keep things going... Never had the game myself, but thought, if it was available in GameBaseST, it would be good to see if I missed anything :o BTW, have just bought my son a gpx2 for...
