Re: Never Ported respectively released for ST

Indy 4 FOA on Amiga use indeed 32 colors. You can check it with a SCUMM editor.

Re: Jeanne d'Arc [French version]

I've recently learnt that 'Jeanne d'Arc' by FIL was sold with a dongle (copy-protection). It was a big surprise because I remember well this game, I got it as soon as it was released in 1988, but well... I have never been interested in the original version. I played with the hacked version, my bad ...

Re: Never Ported respectively released for ST

I fully understood why the game wasn't going to appear..games were being developed on far more powerful hardware for the PC and the American market. .. It's just the way it was handled. It was obvious to STFM owners like myself that developers had switched to producing games on the Amiga 1st, with ...

Re: Never Ported respectively released for ST

Also, whilst bumping thread :) Some of the B.S P.R excuses used to explain why NO ST version was coming, made me chuckle. Rather than say PC market is where it's at, USA wise, ST sales in UK in rapid decline as well, so NO ST Indy Jones And Fate Of Atlantis for you...(Animated Adventure fans) Lucas...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

that's great :)

In fact, the main problem of the CPS system, it's the huge amount of ram needed for the games, otherwise, it's perfectly fine.

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

Yes, I read your posts, and I simply do not agree. I can reproduce *any* track exactly the same as the flux read (down to the last bit length), regardless of drive speed. In this case, track 3 (for sure) has data under the index pulse and it requires SPLICE mode (or the analyzer/editor) to duplicat...

Re: Daimakaimura (Ghouls 'n Ghosts) for the Atari STE

Development would require a Cray computer in 90s :D Btw we have 4MB in STe in early 90s. We also have 2.5MB in ST in 80s but we use Atari for work. 4mb on professional machines used in companies, indeed. But the home user at this time had 512kb ST computers. you forgot how expensive was such an amo...

Re: MOT for Atari ST :)

Ok i got today MOT from Operasoft Spanish release : the result is that this game use a copy protection in track 80. It's based on 8 sectors of 512 bytes followed by a 1024 bytes sector with BAD CRC.

I upload the whole thing tonight.

Yes i perfectly agree : those incredibly well copy protected programs allows to seriously enhance the emulator in term of accuracy. That's so pleasant and delightful to read :)

dlfrsilver: is the only software that can't be dumped/duplicated with Kryoflux or is there other games/tools like this one? It seems to be the first of its kind i know of. But, i know also that if the disk protection was exactly described in the IPF generator, a working original could possibly be m...

This is what Ijor is saying : you need to know how the protection works to make a new disk ; and to know how the protection works, you must crack it first.

You need the source :)

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

The only way to get beyond this problem is to prepare again with the tools we have a new master, that will be replicated with the boards like KF or SCP ... The only way is to devised how things must be, and make a new master. A new master??? Do you mean copy protected with a "normal" prot...

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

Interesting. I knew this protection was used on the PC, but I wasn't aware about any ST title with that protection. As he is saying, the idea is to be able to read the write splice with a sector that spawns under the index. And due to the rotational speed imprecision, you can't reproduce the exact ...
