Wrong WD1772 status register after command $D0, CRC bit wasn't cleared, so it did the same in TOS 1.0 as in later TOS. :( In fact it's surprising that the bug didn't break more games. Short answer: Bad protection implementation, it needs TOS 1.0 Will elaborate later, but the original image at Atarimania seems good. Didn't test the others yet, but probably they are ok. Changing the capacitors on the STE motherboard can only do good to the computer. Atari has used crap 3rd grade taiwanese shitty capacitors namely Wang's cap, refered as being bad on the badcaps forum.

I have replaced those on my own STEs, and it did them good.

Well there is a test to be done, i have died in the game and i got the pirate scum message on my tombstone. So, basically quite a few test have to be done here : 1) test the game on a real STF (on STE, you get a blit error). 2) check carefully that steem doesn't have any trouble to process the prote...

Ok i have fully extracted the whole assets of graphics from Enduro Racer arcade roms (Sprite bank 1 to 8 ).

The whole thing is right now 615kb big.

I join 3 sprite frames just to show you how it look likes.

Yes, this game in arcade use all in all for sprites 1mb of gfx. with the 8x8 tiles, let's count 2mb of GFX.
