Re: The game is on (can we make MiNT/TOS this pretty?)

Yeah, I think most typical desktop icons were pretty large, but not terrible if you used something like 640x400, but the interlacing sure was terrible... I really liked the MagicWB icon set. One feature I really like on the Amiga is the pull down screen that could have independent resolutions. Stil...

Re: The game is on (can we make MiNT/TOS this pretty?)

Ha ha. The one thing I always liked about the Amiga Workbench is the 'animated' icons (granted they were just highlighted/unhighlighted, but they could be different.) That and they didn't really have a standard size (which is a plus / minus I guess depending on your perspective.) Agree, but at leas...

Re: Sick M-STE HELP NEEDED !!! !!!! !!!!

I had a Mega STE a lopong time ago and I have vague memory of that the SCSI interface in it could only make use of one device and it had to have a specific SCSI ID in order to be found. If you changed the jumpers around you might have changed the SCSI ID to something the interface won't recognize.

Re: The game is on (can we make MiNT/TOS this pretty?)

Wow, I'd never thought of doing that with NEWDESK.INF. That's brilliant. Is there any sort of GUI manager for that? Like you could have it auto-rename things like AUTOSORT, XBOOT, etc do? Then you could have something like 'ACTIVITY' folder with various named INF files that could be moved around an...

Re: VGA adapter with Blow Up and VGA/RGB switch

Can someone please give set-by-step instructions for using this hardware and the BlowUP software on both TOS at Mint? For TOS: - Install the BlowUp software. - Make sure BLOWBOOT.PRG is in AUTO folder and is the last AUTO program to execute. - BLOWACC.ACC should be in C: root (assuming you boot fro...

Here we go... 500 EUR and counting. I bet this one will sell for quite a bit over 1000 EUR.
Just wondering about the state of the motherboard considering the FX-Card and that it was disabled on the screenshots. I assume the MK-X didn't come with the FX-Card pre-installed?

No. It was just something I dreamed of. Would have been a perfect video mode for the Falcon though. It's too slow for the 16bit Truecolor mode.

Re: Undocumented F030 hardware addresses...

I remember hoping that the Videl had an 8-bit chunky mode which Atari never finished support for in TOS... but so far nobody has found how to enable it. Haha! The TOS4 VDI has support for 8bpp chunky and 32bpp TC. Ah, I knew it! So we just have to find out how to enable it in hardware! Hehe! ...

Oh no! No more DSUB19 connectors! Where'd they all go?

Does anyone here know who bought all the DSUB19 female PCB connectors that Atarifreakz had on ebay? He said he sold all of his remaining stock to a guy last week. Should have been at least a 100 or so of them. I was going to make some more 3-in-1 monitor adapters for the Falcon030 but without those ...

Yes, soldercup versions are available, but I don't like using with PCBs, they're kind of clunky. :-)

I love the design of this. Kind of wish the BlowUP remake was designed to sit closer to the machine like this one. It's brilliant, really. I like the design too, unfortunately you're limited to what connectors are available and the Falcon030 uses the now discontinued DSUB19 connector for its monito...

New Beat's Sommarhack 2017 demo released.

Just finished the clean-up of our contribution to the demo competition at Sommarhack 2017. It's a little intro for the Atari Falcon030. You can get it from here: http://nb.atari.org/main.php?page=productions Works on standard VGA monitors (60Hz). Actually, it requires a standard VGA monitor (will no...
