Glad it worked out well for you. The U2410 is an awesome monitor. I have 2 of them. :-)
1440x900 is a perfect matches when it comes to its native aspect ration (1920x1200).

Yes, they do (at least I've never seen one that don't), but a regular STe will have a power supply with a fixed input voltage, at least if the PSU is original.
