Re: Ati mach 64 2mb

Sounds like it. Upload your drivers and I'll try them on my TT.

Re: Ati mach 64 2mb

Probably not the latest drivers. I haven't updated them for a while. Try replacing just the drivers with yours and try the wide screen resolution in 256 colors.

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

All platforms, not only Falcon. But, not at all related to the first bug I reported (main topic in this thread - failing writes to SD/USB) on the Falcon I assume? Regardless, awesome work! Surely it will be appreciated by a lot of people, however, some may never have realized that the bug was prese...

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

Wow! Well done! Thanks! You've earned yourself a free beer at Sommarhack! Just remind me when you get there! ;-) I had the feeling that it would be a fairly easy thing to fix. I even started browsing the sources at one point, but I've been too busy with my Falcon030 demo to really give it a go. You ...

Re: Ati mach 64 2mb

OK. Attached is a set of drivers and configurations. Copy it to your boot partition and try selecting the 1440x900 in 256 colors mode. It works fine on my Nova + Mach64 with 2MB (DRAM), I have note yet installed the new OGFA or made the hardware patches to restrict the VME address range on the Nova ...

UltraSatan: HDDriver not finding SD card after removing/inserting it

I'm probably just being stupid, but I cant' figure out what to do to make HDDriver/TOS find the partition on a removable SD card (UltraSatan) after I've removed the SD-card and inserted it again. I have to reboot the computer to access the partition again. Is it not possible to hot-swap? I'm using H...

Re: TT030 Thunder IDE device mounting possibilities

....Seems like the revision of the Storm PCB that I have does not have the non-populated connector next to the activity LED, so I'll probably hijack the signal from the ribbon cable instead. It is still Thunder... hehe  I got Rev.D and got it. Do you got this board? Then just desolder the led ...

Done!

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

No, I'm not talking about the CosmosEx driver allocating the memory. It's in the end-user's program. If you, in *your* program, read a file from a CosmosEx *shared drive* into a buffer that happens to be located at an *odd* address (e.g. in a BSS section) using Fread, the last bytes read will not ma...

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

I still find the CosmosEx to be the most convenient way to transfer files from my PC (using shared drives) to my Falcon030's IDE device, but due to the bugs I don't use any other features, such as the CosmosEx storage possibilities (USB/SD cards) or execute files from a shared drive, or load/save fi...

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

Any software basically. ST-Zip and LHarc are just two examples that are hit by this bug in the CosmosEx driver/firmware/hardware. Probably an easy fix in the driver but I think Jookie is still 'on a break' from Atari activities.

Re: Beginning of very long journey

Finally stopped by a shop in the small town we moved to a couple of years ago. Only knew it was some kind of plastic shop. Met the owner, took a look around, he has a very nice injection molding business :) Talked a minute about vintage computer cases, he said to bring a sample by. Very interesting...

Re: Align inside BSS section

On the 030, code alignment becomes important as well due to the i-cache but sure, for the bss section it's just to align pointers. For data it could be a bit more work than just align and copy if the data contains pointers to data.

Re: TT030 Thunder IDE device mounting possibilities

The Thunder , you mean? I've never tried it, but afaik the unpopulated connector next to the activity LED (LED2) can be used to connect an external LED: http://wiki.newtosworld.de/index.php?title=Datei:Revision_D.jpg. Note that the activity LED is driven by the IDE device. There are some devices wh...

Re: TT030 Thunder IDE device mounting possibilities

That's really neat. Thanks for the picture! I didn't think there was that much free space above the PSU. My card reader is a dual one so I doubt it would fit though. BTW, does the Storm has any connector for disk activity? Would like to make use of the LED on the SCSI bay. The Thunder , you mean? I...

Yes, I was planning on doing that as well. Both issues are pretty bad and need to be addressed. A bit surprised that Atari didn't do anything about these issues considering all revisions the TT went through.

Atari TT030: Buzzing sound

Hi, I connected a pair of speakers for the first time to my TT yesterday. Quickly noticed a pretty bad buzzing sound from the speakers when switching on the TT. Seems be worse in some resolutions (ST-Low/Med/High) and hardly noticeable in others (TT-Low/Med). Before I dig into this I need to ask if ...

Alright, found a longer IDE cable and mounted my CF card reader in the SCSI HDD compartment. Turned out great. I now have easy access to the CF cards by just lifting up that part of the top case.

Re: Ati mach 64 2mb

Make sure you don't use a video mode that would need more than 2 MB. I've had some troubles with the mouse cursor getting corrupt in some of the pre-configured video modes with my Mach64. I can't remember if I ever found out why, but I configured my own video modes and with them I have no problems. ...
