Re: lamer's question

thnx - it is just hard to imagine how much nvdi speeds up the desktop.
I have got videl inside - will fight with it tomorrow. Is the resolution dependent on the screen? I think Videl does not adjust itself to the type of monitor in use. correct?

Re: DIY: new cell for NVRAM chip

Lately I have found that there were different chips used for falcons over a time. So they differ a bit. MK48Txxx and MCCS146xxx - the packaging is different so cutting it to get battery out is different exercise. MK48Txxx - is solid block of plastic, battery is mounted (melted in) on right side of t...

So step by step after replacing whole machine it got up. I have got clear nail polish to paint chips and all will be grea...

Hi,
What would be the most useful os to use with my falcon and ct63? I am going to do mainly coding on it and do not think about using it for anything else. Most important for me will be functionality and graphical side of it. Thnx

Re: WANTED: Falcon 030 (wishful thinking?)

Hunt on ebay, they are rare and go for $400-500 usd. Some are for more or less. I have got one on the table, when I fix it it will go for sale but it will be expensive because it gets most of chips new and will be moded. It is nice piece of equipment but u must be a real freak like me to pay $1000 f...

Re: Seeking a good Vetrinarian to heal my Falcon

Try Simbo... Rtc is simple to fix, it can be done without any soldering, open top part of plastic cover, clean of silicone and solder in new battery. There is a topic about nvram with many examples how to do it. I would help you but I do not have time even for my dead falcon :( Good luck. http://www...
