Re: Multiport MIDI for Falcon

Well, I never had issues with speed or memory or crashes to that extend. Most likely because I used Cubase way different then most people I guess. Did a lot of drum programming on it and some rather interesting projects which involved loads of samplers and drummachines. Seriously tho, back then you ...

Re: Multiport MIDI for Falcon

Now I remember: It was you Simbo who provided me a hint to use correct MROS versions and change driver boot order to resolve my issue (getting the midex+ to work with SMP24). Midi is obviously not your thing  I see you made loads of progress with your studies. I take my hat off sir! Impressive...

Re: Multiport MIDI for Falcon

Could be that I had to work with the Mike Hunter version. Can't recall. I do recall that I had it setup in conjunction with an SMP24 and that the loading order of the driver was crucial for it to work. But this is my point (based on when I was heavily hunting for gear, so this might be outdated): - ...

Re: Multiport MIDI for Falcon

Unfortunately, the Midex doesn't run with a Falcon. That statement clashes with the fact that there is an actual falcon driver for it. And I remember having driver order issues with the midex on Falcon when running the SMP24 as well, so yes, the Falcon with Midex+ and driver can cause issues, but i...

Hee, that's what you get when shipping between 5 and 10 kgs these days. Or at least, where I'm located. Maybe in a more urban area you might have some competition

FS: Mega STe & 1040STe

Hi guys, Since the birth of my second daughter I haven't been able to get busy with most of my machines, so I'm letting go of some just to make other people happy (hopefully). As the title sais, I've got a Mega STe and a 1040STe for sale. Both have 4mb RAM fitted. TOS of the MSTE is 2.06, haven't go...

FS: Cubase 3 complete with working dongle

topic title is pretty clear I guess. This was an upgrade kit from 2 > 3, so you get 2 disk sets (2 AND 3), 2 books in casings, one casing sleeve (which was the original sleeve it was sold in) and a working dongle. :D All is in near mint condition except for the casing sleeve which has folds in it. M...

Re: WANTED: a few later type Mega ST/STE keyboard caps

Well, I was running the similar setup with and MSTE, 2.06UK and 4mb so I would say that's pretty much the same. Hard to tell. I had the exact same problems on the MSTE if I didn't update the MROS and installed it as described. Can't you help you for now, but once I have unpacked my gear, I'll make a...

Re: WANTED: a few later type Mega ST/STE keyboard caps

Uh, then the driver doesn't load properly. I'm assuming you renamed it, so the question is, how did you reboot it? Shut it down completely and re-boot.

Re: WANTED: a few later type Mega ST/STE keyboard caps

You might have a different issue.. Try this: - clear your MROS directory for each version (just blank it) - get the latest MROS (3_something, not sure and I still haven't unpacked my Atari's but I took it from CAF, even for the MCA version) and put that in the directory - put the SMP24 driver in - r...

THE RETURN OF THE SOLDERING LEGEND!

I'm glad I kept my hopes up and the dream alive!

I will however still make a batch and hopefully Zaxons' experience can contribute to that. It won't be a huge batch and I'm not taken pre-orders or reservations..

Re: it boots, but it doesn't show!

according to this . To get VGA you have to ground pin 19 (which is missing). By default you will get tv output. Grounding pin 18 will get you RGB output. So no 19 pin == no VGA. You have to resolder the whole connector. Well, that was my initial plan, to resolder the whole connector, but I can't se...

Re: it boots, but it doesn't show!

second thing is quite strange, RTC clock next to SDMA hardware mod, it looks little melted :). Maybe it's good idea to exchange it, because it had right to die after those 20 years or more (you can exchange it to RTC Dallas 1887(+) - search this forum for deeper explanation). You mean the NVRAM thi...
