Re: Netsurf

There were some changes to NetSurf, the http login dialog is now embedded into the Browser-Window. Is someone willing to test this with the latest CI build: https://ci.netsurf-browser.org/builds/atari/?C=M;O=D I tested the build, but I do not have networking setup in my aranym installation, so I can...

Make sure to put in healthy RAM cardriges. Also the RAM Slots pins must be in a good condition. What to do, if one of the pins is broken?

Re: Netsurf

A usable non-TC version would be nice to have. Which/how many machines are out there that do not support TC, but offer near enough performance/resources for an application like netsurf? Also, running under palette based systems requires pixel-value to palette-index conversion, which requires even m...

Re: GrafX2 2.2 atari port [beta]

For sake of completeness, here is my (old) coldfire build. Don't know if it is an real clean coldfire executable (= runs under EmuTOS). grfx2v4e-2.zip The gcc flags used (not all of them..., I think the additionals libs required by SDL are missing): SDL (1.2.15): CFLAGS="-O3 -mcpu=5475" LD...

Re: Can somebody compile a Netsurf that works with 256 colours?

Hello, I'm sorry I can not help with this right now. There was a version for 256 colors around, at least I did some testing with hatari. I was very unstable in 256 colors mode... but there where a few things you can do: turn off images (So that it is basically a text browser with nice fonts renderin...

Re: Determining VT52 console dimension

And how do you determine the screen dimensions from this when running a 800x600 resolution? Well, this was kind of a joke. I think using VDI functions would be the right thing to do: - It's not bloating your application - It works - It's almost just 3 calls... But the problem is: There is an bug (I...

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

Hello, you can't use *any* of the existing libraries. Everything has to be recompiled, including mintlib, gemlib, and every gnu package you can think of. I don't see any of that libraries. That's problem doesn't kill you. As long as this is the truth, you have to deal with it. But: does gcc7 for Ata...

Re: updating a background window in GEM

"...but instead only if the system requests you to do so (as a reaction to an event). Consequently following the AES principle "don't call us, we'll call you" will ensure optimized redraws." I do not agree with this. The system does NOT call you. The system has no idea about an h...

Re: updating a background window in GEM

It's not necessary to send WM_REDRAW to you own application. You can just call the redraw function directly with an parameter containing the rectangle that has to be drawn. Then clip that rectangle by the visible areas of the window (provided by wind_get()). Using appl_write seems to me like an unne...

Is this a bug in AHCC or is it caused by some incorrect software package?

AFAIK SINCLUDE is not the default thing you want to use when developing software with AHCC.

Re: AHCC

IMO you must also declare the parameters to functions (In your case: void), I think this should do the job:

Code: Select all

#include <stdio.h>

void say_hello (void);

void main () {
  say_hello ();
}

void say_hello (void) {
   printf ("hi\n");
}

Re: Net Surf GEM Port

Did you run netsurf from commandline and tried to enable verbose logging via the -v commandline parameter?

This should give you some hints about what the cache engine is doing, especially at startup and shutdown.
