MiNT is more than amigaos

moreover, you can run EmuTOS/MiNT on amiga, but cant amigaos on Atari due to amigaos is a bit ugly

Re: Steem SSE 3.9 bug reports

Desktop is blurred in Low resolution when the window is scaled to "Treble size" / "Quadruple size". I use them for my pixel coding things and would be cool to have also "no stretch" mode. And in the Bolier the CPU Registers name and value is trimmed: Steem_Debug_2017021...

Re: What's this Falcon board?

That BUS is only 16 bit width so this is no real 32bit TT RAM. This is "TT-RAM" or Fast-RAM, but with 16 bit bus. Access to it is much faster than to ST-RAM because VIDEL doesn't slows the CPU down. Is call Alternate Ram, so it is a kind of ST Ram like the Alternate Ram 8MB with the MonST...

Re: Data corruption with CosmosEx SD card (Falcon/SCSI)

The TT can do DMA into TT RAM; the Falcon can't. The DMA chip in the Falcon is essentially the ST one, while the DMA chip in the TT allows 32-bit addressing. actually TT has two dedicated chips: - ACSI - which is the same as in ST/Falcon and can only address ST-RAM; - SCSI - which has full access t...

"1 0 = DMA only - don't see that was ever used" could be useful for e.g. GEM DMA mod player for muting keyboard click

Re: The Falcon's confusing history

No not really, by any count. ST line was introduced in 1985 and officially ended in 1993. That is 8 years tops, but really, after 91 (92 tops) ST line was dead in the water, and Falcon did nothing to help it. Why Tramiels were slow to update ST? My money is on the theory, that after they invested i...

Faucon2001, belive me or not, Videl has 32bit access to the ram. Moreover, there is a dedicated hardware register $FFFF82C0 where you can switch between 16bit and 32bit RAM access for Videl http://rodolphe.czuba.free.fr/CT2/english/technic.htm https://mikro.naprvyraz.sk/docs/mikro/030_stram.html htt...

IMO it's better to have data cache and faster bus - as it was done in Falcon :)
