Re: Wanted: Plugin accelerator for STE

Hmm, I don't think the original manual covers the STe version, unless the
later versions had a revision or maybe a "drop in" set of instructions. Surely
someone here has the STe manual?

Re: MINT: We don't make this easy do we?

The Ellis's! Yep, pretty sure that was them, a husband and wife team.

IIRC, when you were done with the installation you were left with a text
only setup, no GUI at first.

Thanks for the info. :)

Re: Wanted: Plugin accelerator for STE

That's too bad. Those are really cool little accelerators. There were a couple of things when using an Adspeed with a Mega ST that had to be addressed (like that original clock patch that came from Atari). Any chance it's something like that with the STe version? I'd go through that manual with a fi...

Re: Loose TOS Sockets risers - help with remedy

So hard to find exactly what you need sometimes. Just keep searching and don't give up. I had to use a riser in my STacy for the Pak 68/3 board. The exact pins/items I needed was finally ordered from someplace in the UK (I live in the USA). Only thing that I could find that seemed to fit just right....

Re: MINT: We don't make this easy do we?

I remember the first time I installed some form of MINT. I believe it was KGMD? Probably got those letters wrong, it's been so long... I believe it was the husband/wife team (Karen?) who talked me through it (lots of e-mail exchanges). I've got N.AES and MINT on my Falcon now. Been there literally f...

Re: Atari Corps multi-line BBS?

Some progress to report. Paul and Mike have managed to recover the software from the original floppy disks. They also have at least one unit "talking" through the serial port. PS Once again, although file size is supposed to be 500k, AF will NOT allow me to upload pictures over a couple of...

Even with newbie soldering skills it works. I now have 1.04US TOS on M27C1001 working on my STacy.

Congratulations!

There is a thread here at AF. I think it's called "RePak" or something like that.

I don't believe it's had much activity in quite a while... :(

I painted the faceplates on a couple of different

you might want to consider that.

Re: Overall strategy for hardware mods, upgrades, clones

Turbo card ist not for ST games and ST demos. If you want to run ST games and demos you have to use a stock ST. True for the Vampire. Not true for other accelerators, on both the ST and Falcon. Precisely. My Pak 68/3 board has an actual 68000 on it. I flip a conveniently located switch and boom! I'...

Re: Overall strategy for hardware mods, upgrades, clones

Workbench/AmigaOS is quite clever. At least it was in 1985. Multitasking, data/code sharing and interprocess communication was light and quick. However, this also had a backside. Data/code sharing and interprocess communication was done by simply accessing other processes' memory. Calling the OS is...

Re: For Sale via eBay - PAK68/3 50MHz

That's probably what it is then. When I got my Pak board , it was in sad, sad shape. Most of the chips were missing and the ones that were there were not the latest versions. There was also pin damage on the underside. Holger, once I contacted him, was kind enough to create the files for me to burn ...

Re: For Sale via eBay - PAK68/3 50MHz

Was watching this auction out of curiosity. For anyone interested, the item went for 280 pounds, or 348.78 US dollars. Not too shabby. Also, thought it was interesting that the info screen for this Pak was slightly different than mine. I'm not sure if mine is different because Holger Zimmerman added...
