Thanks for the clarification, appreciated.

Ditto with Alan's adapter - that was always okay with me though,
never saw a need for anything external.

Re: Moving my BBS from Mega 4 to Raspberry Pi/Hatari

That's nice :) Are you aware if there's decent list of telnet based BBS systems somewhere (Atari, Amiga etc) ? Go to AtariAge and under the 8bit section look for the permanent message base, "Atari 8bit BBS's". Doctor Clu there maintains a list that is updated periodically although you may...

There are a handful of us loonies who are dedicated to it. You'll find even more among the 8bit crowd. :)

<snaps fingers> You're right, keep forgetting about him! Hmm, that link points to the Mega ST version. Here is the Mega STe version: https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=49 Also, after reading the descriptions I'm wondering if these cables are supposed to enable the *external* ACSI port, which i...

Re: Moving my BBS from Mega 4 to Raspberry Pi/Hatari

I'm just curious - why do this and not stick with the original hardware? with Atari computers ageing, I would be afraid to let mine run all day for months/years. I'm not. I might be the exception (but I don't think so), but my Mega ST4 has been running 24/7 since the early 90's with one 4-5 year br...

Ribbon cable is what I used when I moved the internal power supply board to the battery compartment in the STacy,
to make room for the Pak board.

Tedious soldering to say the least! :)

Nope, sad to say - although (like many things Atari) I've thought about it
and the PuPLa both a lot. :)

Make sure you read that newly translated Pak manual - there are lots of
"gotcha's" to an STe installation....

Re: PAK in 1040STE?

Sadly, it's still packed away - just haven't had time. /sigh... It's important to note that while I successfully (with a ton of help from the Atari community and Pakman) put a Pak 68/3 board into my STacy, it is without either a Frak or PuPla board. To put either one (or preferably both) in, I would...

Re: a simple way to hide all Mist/Mister posts

I have to agree with all the others. The MiST project/scene is great, I
even owned one (for a shore while) but I would much rather come to AF
and read it like the "good ole days", before the MiST project came along.
