Re: Dragonware (STacy battery)

LiOn battery would have to be intergrated in a different way than ni-cad or lead-acid battery. The STacy has a ballast based charger which will cause problems with LiOn batts R 11 will have to be removed if you want to charge the battery externally. For internal the LiOn battery charging circuit wi...

The little PCB on top is the standard factory Mega ST Blitter-patch which usually is located on top of the CPU.

Re: Dragonware (STacy battery)

I'm tempted to create a custom battery pack for my STacy using 18650 Li-Ion cells I have set aside for my UPS project. Probably 4S3P? So 4 in series would be 14.8V nominal and 16.8V fully charged. Three 2000mAh in parallel would equal 6Ah. Is this voltage fine for batteries? I know for DC input it's...

You're welcome. That's the exact set. Although you're free to use other Tai Hao caps to suit your color preference. Hi Gaiyan, just wanted to let you know that this post inspired me to do the same with my Mega ST keyboard. I finished de-soldering the black switches and will start putting the new on...

Re: Picked up 3 Atari Falcons

So the sequence number - is that obtained from the motherboard? Just out of curiousity, I opened up the other 'B' unit, and it's serial is posted here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11xmC0_f-RSOYDk3YQswDcv1o5R_KPZNw/view?usp=sharing Does that mean that machine is the 7th Falcon produced?? It does...

Re: Atari stuff for sale on EBay

I'd be bidding on the MonSTer as well but:

$94.25 (approx. EUR 85.41) USPS Priority Mail International Large Flat Rate Box

Then I'd have to pay 24% duty on the total item+shipping.

Re: Installing the PAK68/3

Well, the PAK boots to the desktop, the memory test passes and everything functions at the desktop like windows, menus, icons. But without the drive working, I can't run benchmarks or sysinfo and I can't do any burn-in to test stability under load so to speak. So really can't progress with the proj...

Re: Mega STe PSU replacement with Flex ATX

I just tried the ATX 20 Pin to AT P8 P9 adapter with 80w Pico PSU in my Mega STe, it's working like a charm, plug and play ! Hey Orion_, after a year, is 80w PicoPSU a completely validated replacement for Mega-STe PSU? :) Allow me to weigh in on my experience. My TT has a 120W-WI PicoPSU running 24...

I'm itching to use Geneva as my AES in MiNT, but as is well known, it won't work with new releases. Also when it does work on 1.12-1.14, it's sketchy af. Would really like to hear if anyone has had better luck. I know it's probably not possible without the source code but we should revive this discu...

I'm posting this here as well as these articles deserve to be noticed: I decided to publish Al Fasoldt's articles: Secrets of Geneva - by Al Fasoldt followed up by: Secrets of NeoDesk 4 - by Al Fasoldt Main reason was that they were hard to read in the TXT files they were distributed in.
