Should fit any ISA spec card. Not selling any. I'll release the STLs on Thingiverse when I have confirmed it to be ok. I have a ET4000 which I will test as well.

Re: Got my First TT030!!!

I would measure PSU voltages to confirm it's ok even though you tested molex connector. If you have a working MSTE you could swap the PSUs to verify it. Yes, the 4x4MB card is TT-RAM. You should remove it for troubleshooting a dead unit. Same with ST-RAM, if you have one you should remove it. The ma...

Am I to understand that there are no MonSTer for STFM available? The website seems to hint that they are and I can add one in the cart. Anyone know?

Nova eGPU

So eGPU is just another name to a phenomenon pioneered by Atarians decades ago in the form of Nova. I always thought it was cumbersome without a proper case. I had a moment of inspiration and came up with a design based on this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2974854. I shortened it and modified ...

Re: ATARI STacy PSU

Ok, In this case, first thing to do to narrow the problem, is to remove the DC/DC supply completely. Unplug any and all drives from the STacy. Feed power to the Stacy through the Floppy power cable that's attached to the motherboard as alanh shows here: http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&...

Re: ATARI STacy PSU

Hi, Which PSU are we talking about? The external brick or the internal DC/DC? Either way, I've replaced an external brick with a generic good quality 16V or so brick. The plug is center negative so you'll most likely have to change it. I've recapped both of my STacys. DC/DC and motherboard. Check th...

Re: strange Mint issue

Nope, this was Thunder IDE and HDDRIVER 10.14 Where does it bomb? And this is *only* VanillaMiNT, installed as described in the instructions? Gaiyan - a plain, unmodified VanillaMiNT is crashing during boot when booting from IDE when memory protection is enabled. I'd have to test more thoroughly. I...

Re: strange Mint issue

I had a go on my TT. Indeed it does bomb. "Fixed" it by disabling memory protection. And you were booting from an ACSI device? Very interesting. The main difference between ACSI and SCSI is that SCSI can DMA to both ST- and TT-RAM, while ACSI can only DMA to ST-RAM and needs a buffer in S...

Re: Performance roundup: CF, SD, IDE HD, PATA SSD, SATA SSD on TT Thunder

Finally received the IDE SSD in the mail. Finicky bastard to get going. I could only get it to work on one 2.5->3.5 adapter. And only then with an 80-pin UDMA cable in CS mode. Other cables and master settings either didn't work or gave corrupted info in HDDRIVER. Needs more research. Anyway, prelim...

Re: CF vs SATA SSD on TT Thunder

I've initially used an IDE2SD adapter (Sintech) with mediocre performance. Have you been using Class 4 cards? Because the Sintechi IDE->SD adapters performs much better on my Firebee than your CF/SSD figures in this post when I'm using Class 10 cards. I get around 7.5Mb/s, which is the same as I ge...

Re: CF vs SATA SSD on TT Thunder

The results looks as expected. The max speed is probably limited by the speed of Thunder ( what PIO number is it? ). Most of these device have onboard cache buffering so that the write-level stuff have time to work. The SSD probably have more cache than the CF. So CF need to wait to flush cache to ...

Performance roundup: CF, SD, IDE HD, PATA SSD, SATA SSD on TT Thunder

I'm looking at different options for hard drives for my Thunder. I've initially used an IDE2SD adapter (Sintech) with mediocre performance. Recently I upgraded to a 32GB CF card with a nice performance boost as can be seen here: DSC00172-1280x327.JPG Pretty impressive. However, I began to get curiou...

Yes, I've worked on it on and off for a while. Point is to make a MegaBus version and shrunk as much as possible with SMD components. Good. I'm actually doing something similar, based on the XIlinx CPLD, but with added IDE, switchable TOS (2.6/Emutos), and flash rom possibility. I also routed all c...
